Could you be our new Rector?

We are delighted to share that we are seeking a full-time Rector for the Castor Benefice.

We’re looking for a caring, collaborative and pastoral priest to join our church communities, nurture our faith and help us grow together in our mission and ministry.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our villages and our church family, working alongside a committed team of clergy and lay people.

Could this be the opportunity you’ve been looking for — or do you know someone who might be called to this role?

Applications close at noon on 30 September 2026.

Please share widely and keep us in your prayers as we seek our new Rector 🙏

Sustaining Our Church: A Call to Stewardship

As we look to the future, we want to share an important message: it now costs over £112,000 a year - £310 every single day - just to keep the doors of St Kyneburgha's open. This includes essentials such as heating, lighting, insurance, maintenance, ministry, and community outreach.

St Kyneburgha's relies almost entirely on the generosity of individuals to sustain its work and care for its historic fabric. Many are surprised to learn that we receive no central funding for the upkeep of the building or the day-to-day costs of ministry.

We invite you to consider supporting us financially.  One of the most effective ways to give is through the Parish Giving Scheme. It allows you to make a one-off donation or set up regular giving - monthly, quarterly, or annually. If you are a UK taxpayer, the scheme also enables us to reclaim an extra 25% on your gift through Gift Aid.

If you would like to how to give, or would like to become more involved, please reach out to us via the Benefice Office - admin.castor@btconnect.com

With heartfelt thanks and blessings, David Edwards and Michael Samways, Churchwarden
